ONLINE/DLC PRODUCER

The Online/DLC Producer manages the entire online strategy for the studio and all of its products. Oversees all project disciplines and works closely with studio leadership, marketing and PR to ensure a synergized, high quality online strategy is executed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drives and manages the entire online strategy for the studio and its products, including:
    - Downloadable content
    - Micro-transactions
    - Community
  • Social networking
  • Manages content teams ensuring the delivery of high quality downloadable content
  • Manages, coordinates, and facilitates multiple projects and process improvement initiatives related to the development of video game content
  • Works closely with marketing, PR, production, design, art, engineering, and audio teams
  • Participates in the establishment, organization, and implementation of short and long range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates program effectiveness and effects changes required for improvement
  • Develops integrated project plans, implementation schedules, and cost estimates for major project development
  • Prepares and manages annual project budgets and performs periodic cost and productivity analyses
  • Identifies and resolves conflicts between schedule, budget, and design goals
  • Works closely with marketing and PR to create strategies for products and coordinates them with community and social networking initiatives
  • Represents the project to various internal divisions as well as to various external entities
  • Communicates regularly with executive management and administration regarding the status of current online initiatives
  • Defines initial project scope and delivery schedules; manages day to day project schedules and motivates team towards a common project goal
  • Proactively anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks; acts as a change agent for process improvements
  • Support consistent work-life balance while ensuring maximum team productivity

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years experience related directly to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Deep understanding of the online space including community and social networking
  • In depth experience developing online strategies and executing downloadable content creation
  • Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools
  • Ability to develop project budgets and projections
  • Strong resource planning experience; skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Ability to initiate or implement development process improvements to achieve efficiencies
  • Strong ability to set objectives, prioritize and organize tasks and assign resources
  • Ability to formulate policy, develop and implement new strategies and procedures
  • Ability to analyze comprehensive business processes, perform in-depth work analyses, and develop computer generate flow charts
  • Strong writing skills, and the ability to oversee the development of concept, pitch, and design documents
  • Personal commitment to excel as a team player, and strive for maximum team performance
  • Self-directed, highly organized meticulous and detail-oriented problem solver with a burning desire to contribute to a uniquely creative environment
  • Bachelors Degree
