GAMEPLAY / AI PROGRAMMER

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement gameplay for a next-gen console-based action-adventure game.
  • Work closely with Game Design and Art partners to develop technical plan based on design.
  • Leverage lead and other programmers to complete tasks on schedule.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentorship.
  • Assist in hiring process.

Qualifications

  • Plays and knows cutting edge games.
  • 3 - 5 years games experience in Gameplay and/or AI.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
  • Experience in object-oriented design and implementation.
  • Strong C++ and math skills (in particular linear algebra).
  • Experience or knowledge of physics and physical systems in games.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices.
  • Understanding of memory management and runtime optimization.
  • Experience or knowledge of multi-threading and data organization for multi-core platforms as they apply to gameplay systems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be highly motivated and a self-starter willing to branch into other areas as required.

Assets

  • Prior experience shipping a console (i.e. PS2/PS3, GameCube/Wii or Xbox/Xbox 360) product.
